I've owned Dell products for many years. I purchased this laptop as a gift. I have begun to question the quality of Dell products now. Too many problems with laptops and batteries. Last year I purchased a Dell Studio laptop and the quality of that laptop would be, maybe, one star. Sure hope Dell improves the quality of products. I've always been an Apple fan so that may be the way to go in the future.
This has a nice big screen, runs fast and was a great buy for the price I paid. No complains about it, shipped quickly as well.
So far this computer is doing well. When I first turned it on, Windows 7 installed. I found a lot of Dell bloatware, some of which I'm keeping because it may prove useful. It is a little slow to startup, but only about 1 minute to come to life fully.The fan runs high sometimes even when my computer is idling on the desktop. I'll check the forums to see if this is normal.The glossy screen attracts glare, but what can you do -- all screens these days are glossy. People or manufacturers don't seem to realize that matte screens are actually much better because they don't have glare.The keyboard is responsive and nicely laid out. The keys feel strong. The touch-pad is responsive, but the mouse-buttons are a little sticky. But this won't be an issue when I buy a real mouse.I got this computer refurbished, discounted $200. I feel pretty lucky to have it. I was nervous that something was seriously wrong with it but it arrived as expected (except without any Windows 7 backup discs. I had to make my own. No big deal).4/5 stars -- Feel free to contact me with questions about this machine.
Bought this item 2 months ago , then ran in problems with wireless connect issues call Dell for support, my computer have a software problem ,want to fix one time charge 129.99, or go for one year cover for 4 software issues 249.99 ,Thanks but no thank ,
