Toshiba Satellite A665D-S6075 15.6-Inch LED Laptop (Fusion X2 Finish in Charcoal) Reviews
this toshiba laptop is the best. the screen is fantastic movies and games showing really nice. it has a really good graphic card from highly graphic games. it has good battery life. the speakers is really loud, louder than expected. and i like the fusion finish so it cannot be easily scratched. compared to some other laptops i have used it isn't hot like when you put it on your lap it's hot this laptop its not and also not loud at all it doesn't make a sound. i highly recommend this laptop you wont regret it...
I have 1 month with this machine and is awesome! This is a great laptop for the price. Here is the windows experience index: [...]Pros:1) The processor is fast (running like Usain Bolt XD)2) Great TouchPad3) 4GB Ram & 320GB HD great for normal users4) The best laptop Speakers that I've heard O.o,5) The integrated graphics are not so bad I can play Fifa 2010 without problemas or lag.Cons:1) When the computer is connected to AC, the LED screen looks great, but on battery the screen is very dim I dont know if not all LED screens look like this one or if I got a defective one...2) The keyboard feels cheap3) The power cord is right next to the DVD tray.4) Web cam at .3 MP X_X5) No Bluetooth
If you're like me and believe that form and function are inseparable when it comes to choosing a laptop computer - then this one's for you. This laptop is a show stopper before you've powered it and long after you have. The chiclet keyboard is an ergonomic dream and the lighted keyboard features are a pleasure when working in low light conditions. The fusion finish resists fingerprints, though, forgivably, the mouse buttons aren't entirely immune. After about an hour or so of play, I'm sure you'll agree that for the price, you can be proud to take this laptop with you anywhere and rest assured it will be a statement piece when you do.
I bought this pc for my girlfriend as a x-mas gift. The pc itself, is very nice; it was light in weight, the battery life was ok, and the harman kardon speakers were pretty awesome. However, one of the things that turned us off was the fact that it states it has a backlit keyboard when it, in fact, does not! Toshiba's description of a backlit keyboard is a mickey mouse light that shines bright on top of the mouse trackpad...how is that a backlit keyboard? There is no illumination for the actual keys on the keyboard folks! In addition, the screen display quality was a bit disappointing. It wasn't bad but it just looked dull. I guess for $560 it's something to be expected but we couldn't keep it just for that so I returned it. If not having a backlit keyboard doesn't bother you, then I say get it because it is a very nice pc and the audio is very good too.
Overall, I was very satisfied with this purchase. It was an extremely competitive computer for the pricepoint, especially with the Christmas deals. The graphics card wasn't everything I hoped for, but it still beats my old desktop, and will be perfect for medium level gaming for years. The triple core processor is rather fast, as is the 4gb of ram. However, the backlit keyboard is basically a lie. They have useful media control buttons on the top that are lit, but the keys themselves are not illuminated. Not too big of an issue though. Don't expect too much reverse compatibility though. Windows 7 64bit plays most games and 64 bit applications fine, but some of my favorites remain nonfunctional. And attempting to install XP for dual booting is not at all easy. But this is just the nature of the operating system, and no fault of the laptop. The power cord could have better placement, as it comes out of the computer on the top right, right next to the DVD tray and alway gets the tray stuck. The power cord is very loose and falls out of the wall and converter easily. Despite all that, it delivers in most of the ways I wanted it to, namely: graphics and processing POWER. Despite quirks, I am satisfied with my purchase.
Based on a recommendation from our technical service,we purchased the Toshiba Satellite 665D. It has all the features our family needed and especially the number keypad on the keyboard. Fast, light weight and looks good. Still learning all the new functions this unit has over our desktop Gateway.
